Strong, capable, and dedicated to making a difference to our community by getting things done

I am a strong, capable and confident person who is prepared to stand up for my community and what I believe is right.

I will continue to push for change to policies and change for the best. Policies that will benefit our people in their day-to-day work and in their daily living.

Like many Tasmanians, I was not born into privilege. I understand the pain of divorce, facing financial hardship, the threat of losing my home, and feeling a sense of failure when I needed Government assistance. I've also seen and experienced the stress and challenge of a partner with a life-threatening illness.

I understand the terrible impact of mental illness and family dysfunction. More needs to be done to alleviate the situations so many people find themselves in. None of this makes me special, but it does make me real.

As a former business owner (30+ years), I have an extensive record of work in the charity, disability, and aged care sectors with a focus on good governance. I have a proven record of calling out a lack of action on issues where I believe this fails our community.
