When I became Mayor, Glenorchy needed renewed confidence and strong leadership. Since then, we’ve worked hard to improve our city, deliver better community facilities and public spaces, and listen to what residents tell us matters most.
Our parks and open spaces are an important part of everyday life in Glenorchy.
I’m proud of the work we’ve been doing to create better places for people of all ages to walk, exercise, meet friends and enjoy our city.
There is always more to do, but I want Glenorchy to keep becoming a healthier, greener and more connected place to live.
A playground might look simple, but to a family it can mean so much more. It is a place for children to play, parents to meet and communities to connect.
I want Glenorchy to be a city where families feel welcome and where people of every age have places to gather, belong and enjoy their community.
I’ve never been afraid of hard work or tough decisions.
As Mayor, I’ve focused on delivering results — not just making promises.
There’s still more to do, and I’m ready to keep working for you.
I want people to feel safe in Glenorchy. Whether you’re walking home, waiting for a bus, taking the kids to the park or heading to the shops, feeling safe in your community matters.
Since being your Mayor, I’ve made community safety a priority and worked closely with Tasmania Police, and many local organisations, but I know there is more to do.
I’ll keep advocating, working with police and investing in practical measures to fight crime.
Moonah is more than a place to shop - it should be a place people want to stay for a while.
Moonah is an evolving suburb and one of Glenorchy's busiest shopping precincts. I want to see modern street furniture, more seating and attractive places for people to meet, rest and spend time. These practical improvements can help create a stronger, more welcoming centre for residents, visitors and traders.
This election, I am putting practical, people-focused improvements on the agenda.
No parking = no customers and no businesses. Easy parking is part of keeping Moonah moving.
Moonah's traders depend on people being able to get in, park and shop. Good access and convenient parking are part of a thriving local centre. With a business background, I understand how important it is to create the conditions that help local shops and services succeed.
Strong local businesses mean a stronger and more vibrant Moonah.
The little things matter - especially when they affect how safe, clean and welcoming our shopping precinct feels.
Public toilets are basic infrastructure, and people should be able to rely on them. In the City of Glenorchy, that means facilities that are safe, clean and properly stocked. This election, I am focused on practical improvements that make everyday life better for shoppers, families, older people and local businesses.
Good local government starts with getting the basics right.
